Our Philosophy

Better Future Family Day Care is a quality and professional Family Day Care service for children 0 – 13 years of age. We uphold the values of the Early years learning framework and believe that continual reflection of our performance enhances our ability to deliver quality education and care. In relation to children we believe that children thrive in a safe environment that offers rich and diverse play-based learning programs and practices that respond to children’s needs, interests, strengths all learning abilities. We believe in promoting children with opportunities to express a sense of agency and demonstrate their competence and be leader in their own learning. We believe in promoting and safeguarding children’s health and safety. All children are encouraged to have a good sense of well-being and each child is supported with competence, confidence and independence to enhance their learning. We believe all children have a fundamental right to be protected and kept safe when they in our education and care service.

In relation to families, we believe in commitment to building genuine partnerships with our families as they are their children first and most influential teachers. Our practice is shaped by meaningful engagement with the families and the community and reflects the unique geographical, cultural community our service is located in.

In relation to cultural awareness that we believe that all cultures are valued and respected – with strong focused on teaching children about Australia’s first people – The Aboriginal people. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first Australian and we are committed to developing awareness of indigenous culture

We believe environmentally sustainable values are embedded into our everyday practices encouraging the children and families to care for and protect the environment.

In relation to all stakeholders, we believe in promoting collaboration and partnerships between our educators, children, families, carers, staff and the wider community to create a warm, nurturing home based experience for children’s learning and development.
